 | | ABOUT ME |  | In life, when you come across a person who has followed their true calling despite the hard work involved, their success often seems natural and almost effortless. Though these individuals work tirelessly, it often doesn't seem like work because the individual is in the flow of loving what they do, and dedicated to doing what it takes to succeed. I subscribe to this philosophy. I work hard at what I love to do.
I have the ability to detect what needs to be done, plan a strategy, and then take the necessary action to achieve the desired results. I attribute my success to a few simple concepts: hard work, dedication, and the desire to do my best for my clients. I believe I am a determined guy. I put the effort in, and I'm consistent. I have a great support team in place that helps me execute a marketing plan that has proven very successful.
I approach each day with enthusiasm. I know my strengths, and make a conscious effort to utilize those strengths to their fullest. My focus is on marketing, and that's where my greatest abilities lie. To be successful, you need to determine what works best for you and then you have to stick to that system.
I am convinced that what makes a successful sales representative is commitment, dedication, honesty and integrity. In addition to working hard every day, you must be able to adapt to trends. It is important to stay on the leading edge. You have to recognize the trends to know what's coming next.
To achieve this, I educate myself on current market conditions and upcoming development sites in the area, and I upgrade this knowledge base by taking part in a number of different courses over the year.
My success is also attributed to the MinCom Realty philosophy where all commissions are negotiable. The system that I use to sell houses is effective - it's maximum service for minimum commission.
When listing a property, I will first do a market evaluation on the home. I always provide a detailed listing presentation package to a prospective client in order to do an accurate evaluation. After the For Sale sign goes up, the property is listed on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), and a photo tour is created on my website.
Strong advertising in newspapers, coupled with a 24-hour answering service, rounds out my top notch service. I also believe that an agent should return phone calls as soon as possible. I often return a call within minutes of being paged. Every call could be a new prospect. The more listings you have, the more prospective purchasers you talk to. You're crazy not to call back promptly.
Clients are kept abreast of the progress of their listing through regular marketing reports. They can see when and how often their property is being shown. If a home isn't sold within 30 days, it's usually because of the price. With service like this, I have a fiercely loyal client base. I am proud of the fact that a high percentage of my business is repeat or referral business, and I work hard to keep his clients happy.
With the heavy demands that a real estate career can have, it can be difficult to achieve balance, but I definitely have balance in my life. My wife Gloria and I have two teenaged daughters, Ashley, 16, and April, 13. Family time is a top priority. In my spare time, my family and I enjoy golfing, boating, snowmobiling and traveling together.
As for my real estate future, I will continue to strive to be a top producer in a business that I adore. I enjoy what I do so much that I'll keep doing it as long as it's fun. I always see myself in the real estate business. I'll keep my hand in real estate for the rest of my life.
